Whether your pup wants rambunctious play with friends, or a relaxing nap in the sun, we have what he or she is looking for. Our property has shady trees and sunny wide open spaces. The smells and sounds of the country and the entertainment of music and tv are just a few of the luxuries your pet can enjoy while visiting.

Pups need rest between play times, too! We are closed to pickups and drop-offs from 11-3 to keep a quiet kennel during those hours.

Our pet suites are heated and air conditioned and feature rubber padded floors for your pet's comfort. Each dog suite has an indoor area with orthopedic couch style bed or a raised cot and as well as a spacious outdoor run. Kitty condos have shelves and a hammock as well as a comfy bed and toys.

Every dog has specific needs- If your dog is intact, he or she will be able to spend time outside safely enclosed away from friends. If your pup is elderly and doesn't appreciate the energy of the younger crowd he or she can spend time relaxing at a distance. We will make sure the Ruff House is the home away from home you and they desire.

Our Services
Pet Daycare
At doggy daycare your dog gets to run, play and socialize in a supervised environment. We offer state of the art suites that are climate controlled year round and multiple fenced outdoor play areas which are always accessible and supervised by a Ruff House staff member.
Doggie suites feature comfortable beds, and a clean, spacious area to rest and play. Dogs will get ample opportunity to exercise outside in one of several fenced yards with people and/or dog friends. Treats, games and personalized attention are all part of the doggy daycare experience.
Doggy Daycare is available Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:00pm. If you desire daycare on the weekend, please call to check availability.
Does your pet need weekend care? We do dog (and cat!) boarding as well!
Overnight Boarding

You can travel more or have a long weekend away from home and know that your dog is in great hands with our overnight care. We encourage you to visit our facility with your pup prior to scheduling boarding!

*What do I bring for my dog’s overnight stay?
FOOD:
Your own dogs' food is the most important need! We do not want to subject your dog to having loose stool or an upset stomach because of a dietary change. You can fill out the registration form online at or before drop off with your dogs’ feeding instructions. We have bowls and measuring cups so you do not need to bring yours. We can refrigerate food if needed.
TREATS:
We will keep fresh, homemade dog biscuits on hand for treats. If your dog has a preferred treat, please feel free to send them along!
BEDS:
We supply elevated cot beds that get your dog off the floor as well as blankets and couch style orthopedic beds. You may prefer to bring your own blanket or bed- whatever your pup will be most comfortable with is fine with us!
MEDICATIONS:
We will be happy to give medication to your dog at no extra charge. Let us know at the time of drop off of what doses have already been given that day and how you typically administer the medication. It's a good idea to send an extra days' medication in case of schedule changes.
Individual Playtime/Family Play
For those dogs who would rather play only with their siblings or those who prefer humans to other dogs, we offer individual playtime and family play options. This is also the playtime option for intact dogs (those who have not been spayed or neutered) who are over 6 months of age as they are not eligible for playgroups. This individual playtime is personalized, one-on-one human attention for your dog where they can run in the grass, fetch a ball, or just take a relaxing walk with their favorite new human friends!
Rules and Regulations
To ensure a safe and healthy environment for your dog, The Ruff House requires the pet parents of all dog daycare and boarding attendees to read and comply with the following Rules and Regulations. These Rules and Regulations may be changed at any time by The Ruff House - but don't worry. We will let you know!
VACCINATIONS:
Owners must submit written/email proof from their veterinarian that their dog has received the following vaccinations (and such vaccinations must be current): DHLPP, rabies, and bordetella (kennel cough).
SPAY/NEUTER:
We do take intact pets at the Ruff House. Because they are not eligible for playgroups, they receive one-on-one playtime with their human caregivers.
HEALTH:
All dogs must be in good health. Dogs with an illness, stitches or open wounds will not be admitted until they have sufficiently recovered or healed. BEHAVIOR: All dogs must be non-aggressive and should not be possessive of territory or toys. Owners must certify that their dog has not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog.
BREED RESTRICTIONS:
We have chosen to insure our kennel for the safety and protection of our employees, of the dogs in our care, and their families. Our insurance carrier restricts the breeds of dog we can board due to "their violent tendencies and past claim histories involving bites". The list includes Rottweillers, Chows, Pit-bulls, American Stafforshires, American Bulldogs or any hybrids of these.
We understand that dogs of any breed can be excellent pets and wonderful dogs. However, we must adhere to this requirement to maintain our insurability and apologize if we are unable to care for your pet.
HOURS:
The Ruff House is open for daycare Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Boarding is available 7 days a week! We take pickups and drop-offs between 7:30am and 11 am, and then from 3pm to 6pm.
